The Mesem New Testament Dedication

After 25 years working in Papua New Guinea, 20 with the Mesem people, the New Testament was completed in 2012.  In January of 2013 we returned to Papua New Guinea for the dedication of and celebration of God's faithfulness to the Mesem people. Over 3,500 copies of the scripture were distributed, so that every man, woman and child now has a copy of the scripture in their mother tongue. To view photos of the dedication, click on the link below.  An extensive library of videos clips of the dedication are also avaialble.

The Fire Bible

For more than a million people in Papua New Guinea, Tok Pisin, or Melanesian Pidgin is a first language. More than three miilion people read it to some degree. As people leave their trible areas and their first language they are left with a trade language that has a limited vocabulary meant only for buying and selling things.  It is very difficult to communicate the great truths of scripture. Yet urban churches have no choice but to use a Tok Pisin Bible to preach the Word of God.

The Fire Bible is equipped with charts and study notes to assist pastors and laymen as they study the scriptures and aid them in understanding the great truths of God's Word.

The Early Years 1988-1992

We first went to Papua New Guinea in 1988.  We have hundreds of photos but have a collection called "The Early Years" that include our time with the Kobon people of the Jimi Valley where we spent four years teaching pastors to read.  In 1993 we moved to the Mesem area in Morobe Province where we completed a translation of the New Testament and numerous books and Bible studies.  In addtion to the photos below, please look through our archvies of photos and videos which is quite extensive. We are constantly adding to it as we've many, many photos from our years overseas. If you enjoy any particular picutre, feel free to ask us for a copy.  We would ask that no organization use our material without asking our permission.
